Our group of seven recently visited Bear Mountain Spa for a work retreat, and it was the perfect choice. The atmosphere is the ideal blend of cozy and professional, making us feel relaxed the moment we walked in. What really stood out was how seamlessly they handled a group of our size. Even though we were all getting different treatments—including massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures—the flow was perfect. We never felt scattered; instead, the schedule allowed us to enjoy the treatments while still having plenty of time to hang out, share the experience, and connect as a team. Every therapist was excellent, and the manager, Annatte, was wonderful. She was present and incredibly accommodating, ensuring everything ran smoothly for us. We left feeling completely relaxed and recharged, topping off the morning with a great buffet breakfast downstairs. Unlike other spas where groups can feel isolated from one another, Bear Mountain Spa truly provided a shared experience. We can’t wait to come back!

I’m leaving 2 stars for services rendered, but would not recommend getting your hair and makeup done here before your wedding. I had my wedding party get ready here, and it was by far the worst and most stressful part of my wedding day. Despite booking 8 appointments and being told we had the Spa to ourselves - the atmosphere was tense and stressful with staff telling us to lower our music and voices for other patrons, telling my sister she couldn’t come in to say hello while I was getting my hair done, and my mom that they couldn’t give her a chair to sit down next to me. We felt very unwelcome in what I was told would be a private space. This is not to mention that services were less than acceptable (they totally flattened two people’s hair and we had to start completely over), mismanagement of the schedule (underestimating how much time people would take, not ensuring people who needed to be photo-ready by a certain time were, conflicting messaging on overall schedule), and a push to start in the early morning - only for my hair to fall out and makeup to fade before the ceremony (thank god I had family and friends to help me). To add insult to injury, I was nickeled and dimed (after spending thousands of dollars to book “private space” they knew we were unhappy with, they charged me $9 for a lipstick). This was not the fun start to my wedding day I envisioned - and would not recommend to others. Edits following the Spa's response: - The issue with guests in the "styling area" was not so much that they were redirected to the lounge room, but how rudely they were redirected. You will see rudeness of front desk staff mentioned in other reviews. - Volume was appropriate for having a private room. To expand on the lack of delivery on the "private" room, hotel guests were coming in and out of the styling area to change during the hours we had booked it and sitting with my bridal party in the waiting room. - No changes to the schedule were requested on our part the day before. - I understand add-on prices like lipstick were communicated upfront and in the contract, but given the situation, this speaks to the extreme lack of customer service.

I can’t recommend Bear Mountain Spa enough. They did hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids and we all looked amazing. Professional, friendly and truly talented team. Everyone looked and felt their best, and the whole process was smooth and enjoyable. Thank you for helping make my wedding day even more special.
