Brook Farm Inn

We had a nice stay. The inn was clean and tidy; the neighborhood was quiet; and the innkeeper and staff were all pleasant. We stayed in the Poet's room. The bed and bedding were very comfortable; we had a great night's sleep. FYI, if you're an adult male staying in the Poet's room, peeing will require contorting your body (or sitting) due to the headbanger ceiling above the toilet - I'm not sure I've ever stood that crooked before (it was quite amusing). The breakfast was served buffet style and had several delectable options (i.e. veggie frittata, meat frittata, apple french toast, fruit salad, granola, mini croissants, mini muffins, etc.). I didn't leave hungry. Breakfast service started at 8 a.m. The dining room has multiple tables, so you don't have to sit with strangers. Accomodations are shockingly over-priced in the area. When I saw how much the hotel chains and mom-and-pop 50s-era motels wanted for cookie-cutter accomodations with meager (if any) inclusive breakfast offerings, I resigned myself to the fact that I wasn't going to get away cheaply and decided to spend a little more to stay here for a better ambiance and a more satisfying breakfast. I stand by my choice. If every place is going to charge inn prices, I'm going to stay at a bonafide inn.

This was my first stay at a B&B, and Maureen and her family exceeded my expectations. Warm, welcoming, and clean, with a delicious breakfast. A high bar has been set, and I’ll be sure to stay here again.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming bed and breakfast, and I can't recommend it enough. The owners are incredibly kind and attentive, always making sure guests feel welcome and taken care of. Their warmth and hospitality truly make the place feel like home. The house itself is beautifully appointed, with thoughtful touches that create a cozy, inviting atmosphere. There are several comfortable common rooms to relax in, each offering a peaceful retreat. Whether you want to unwind with a book or enjoy a quiet conversation, there’s always a perfect spot to settle in. The breakfast was delicious! The food was freshly prepared, flavorful, and presented beautifully. It's clear that the owners take great pride in providing a memorable experience for their guests. Overall, this bed and breakfast offers the perfect balance of comfort, relaxation, and outstanding service. It's a place where you can truly unwind and feel at home. We will definitely be returning.
