My husband and I have stayed at the Lakehouse Inn multiple times, in both the fall and winter seasons. The rooms are lovely- high quality amenities, attention to detail, comfortable bedding and fully stocked. The location is beautiful in any season! The breakfast provided is something to look forward to, and the service is delivered with thoughtful care, kindness, and genuine interaction. They have called us minutes after we’ve left informing us we have left items in the room, and offered to mail it to our home. We are grateful and will continue to stay here!

Our stay here was absolutely incredible! From the little touches like a bottle of wine in the room to breakfast in the morning, everything felt so thoughtful. The room was cozy, with an electric fireplace, and I’d highly recommend the third floor—so private and with a stunning lake view. We were lucky to experience a big snowfall, which made the scenery even more magical. The staff went above and beyond, accommodating my gluten-free needs and offering plenty of great restaurant suggestions. The bed was big and comfy, and the room had wonderful extras like a towel warmer, a rain-head walk-in shower, a mini coffee maker, and a mini fridge. We will definitely be back in the warmer months ❤️ Attached photos are the nearby towns and Norman Rockwell museum and Mass MoCa art museum. And lights at Edith Wharton Mount

Beautiful hotel. It is 125 years old, but well kept with modern amenities. From the minute we checked in we were offered a welcome drink (both options-with or without alcohol available). Grounds are beautiful although it was rainy and chilly-we couldn’t enjoy outside much, but it was pretty to look at. I booked directly through their website and although only rooms downstairs were available, I left a note that if they have any cancellation, I would love a room with the lake view. And on the day of our arrival owner Kurt called me to let me know that they had a cancellation and offered a beautiful room overlooking the lake on the second floor-much appreciated! Their breakfast was wonderful with gluten free options which were much appreciated by my husband with allergies. And they had a tea station with delicious brownies available throughout the day. Not to mention a complimentary bottle of wine in the room. I love staying in a smaller Inns when travel and Lakehouse Inn didn’t disappoint! Thank you to the wonderful stuff we’ve got to meet during our stay-Amanda, Mary and Kurt for a great stay. We will be back
