We loved our stay there! My wife and I came with our one year old and it was such a lovely spot. It was a very kid friendly spot - they have a play area in one of the common lounges with a great book and toy selection, they placed a bunny and book in our room in advance for our daughter, and have cribs available. Sound does carry outside of the room, so if you have a fussy baby it might be a little harder, but otherwise it was a great spot with a kid! We really appreciated being in a nice walkable spot with coffee and food around to have chill mornings before setting out on adventures. Overall I'd just say it's nicer, newer, bigger, and better than you're thinking from a photos - an excellent spot and we were really pleasantly impressed!

We stayed at the Old Dutch Inn in Kinderhook after our wedding day and it was absolutely perfect! We booked the “Bray” room, which is our last name (making it even more special) that overlooked the town square. The decor is beautiful, the amenities were thoughtful and well-curated , and the whole place has a luxurious yet welcoming feel. The owners personally selected every detail from the floors to the color of the building, and their thoughtful design choices are evident throughout. They were also incredibly kind and attentive, even leaving us a little wedding gift. The location is great too, right in the heart of Kinderhook with cafes, shops, and historic spots just a short walk away. We would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Old Dutch Inn is a fabulous property in the Hudson Valley. The Village of Kinderhook is one of New York State’s oldest villages, appearing on Dutch maps in 1614, and the inn itself sits right in the heart of the historic Village Square. The property is listed on the National Register and has been beautifully restored, blending historic character with modern luxuries like marble bathrooms, rainfall showers, and cozy guest rooms. They also have a beautiful lobby and common areas with a pool table, games, coffee, tea and more. You can watch the seasonal farmers’ market and other seasonal events and parades from the front rooms, sit out on the porch, and explore local shops, farms, and cultural attractions.
